01. Concert and CD recording with Dresden Kreuzchor

For end of November the Dresden Kreuzchor has again invited Daniel Ochoa
to perform the baritone part in Johannes Brahms’ German Requiem alongside Sibylla Rubens.
The traditional concert – which will be recorded for release by the
Berlin Classics label – will take place in Kreuzkirche Dresden on 24 November.

02. Mendelssohn with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra

On 22 September Daniel Ochoa will for the first time perform in the big Concert
series with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. At the Medelssohn Festival,
the cantata “Erste Walpurgisnacht” will be performed in the great hall
under the baton of Paul McCreesh.

  • 03. Opera and Concert in Central Germany

    In summer 2013 Daniel Ochoa will return to his native Central Germany
    on several occasions. After singing the title role in Rossini’s “Barber of Seville”
    in the Goethe Theatre Bad Lauchstädt on 29 June he will focus on two performances
    of Mendelssohn’s St. Paul under Michael Schönheit: On 6 June in the Church of Bürgel Abbey
    and on 17 August in St. Mary’s Church Mühlhausen.

    04. Debut at the Philharmonie Gasteig

    On 16 June 2013 Daniel Ochoa will perform at the Philharmonie Gasteig in Munich
    for the first time!
    Together with the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Alondra de la Parra
    he will sing in Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”. Start: 4 PM.

  • 05. “Der Wildschütz” on Radio Ö1

    Radio Ö1 will be broadcasting a live recording of the opening night of
    “Der Wildschütz” at Vienna Volksoper on 20 April, with Daniel Ochoa performing
    the role of Graf von Eberbach. Saturday 25 May, 7:30 PM on radio Ö1

    06. CD release “Der Berggeist”

    Daniel Ochoa sings the part of Jacob Landenhag in a CD recording of
    Franz Danzi’s romantic opera “Der Berggeist”, recently released by the Carus label.
    The recording, featuring Kammerchor and Hofkapelle Stuttgart under Frieder Bernius,
    will be presented on radio SWR 2 on Sunday 12 May 2013 at 8:03 PM.

  • 07. Debut at Sächsische Staatsoper

    Under conductor Reinhard Goebel, Daniel Ochoa has his debut at the Semperoper Dresden
    on 24 March. The concert featuring the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden
    (J.S. Bach: “Laß, Fürstin, laß noch einen Strahl”, J.D. Zelenka: Requiem in D)
    will be broadcast on radio: Tuesday 26 March 2013, 8:05 PM on MDR Figaro
    Good Friday 29 March 2013, 8:03 PM on Deutschlandradio Kultur

    08. Daniel Ochoa – Debut at Wiener Konzerthaus

    On 25 February 2013 Daniel Ochoa will give his debut at the Wiener Konzerthaus
    with Handel’s Brockes Passion under the baton of Reinhard Goebel.
